Racked pair Studer 189 discrete mic preamps / inductor EQ incl line driver
Here you get the complete signal path of the legendary Studer 189 or 289 console:
On the output side, an original Studer Stereo Line Driver is installed.
This contributes significantly to the sound with its large output transformers.
Otherwise, this rack has some other features that will otherwise be forgotten:
Studer 189 Channel Strips love to be "hot" - just as you know from Neve modules.
Therefore, a potentiometer with output fader function was installed.
From lightly heated to glowing hot, all types of overdriving are possible - without clipping your converters.
The built-in buffered VU can be switched to channel 1 or 2 and is calibrated to + 18dB, thus also useful for "hot" driving
48V phantom is on separate inputs
Front-side jack sockets for line input.
Internal power supply with oversized ring core transformer, Schurter Netzfiler and original Studer voltage processing
Elma switches and high-quality fader potentiometers
Apart from that, the modules are:
Completely discreetly expanded, with Studer A101 opamps
Fully balanced with transmitters at the input and output, at studio level.
